I agree that you need to keep your options open to as many of the Ivies as practical since every one of the Ivies provides outstanding experiences inside and outside the classroom.

You also must keep in mind that all Ivy programs need to show serious interest in far more players than they give final offers. This is because they do not know which of the potential recruits will elect to commit to another school and which of the recruits will not make it past the rigorous Ivy admissions. Thus, it is a moving target for all coaches so they have to show interest in a much larger pool of players to make sure they have ample backup players to fill out their class. Unless you are one of the top recruits, you do not always know if you are a potential backup recruit until you get an official offer. Every year, you hear stories of athletes who generated interest from a variety of schools only to have many of these interested schools drop out as the majority of their class begins to fill up.

It never hurts looking into all the options! My son was recruited heavily and his final choice really came down to a single question. If you blew out your knee on the first day of practice would you still want to go to school here?
