Three star guy and a legitimate D 1 talent. We just got stronger at a position of strength. Now all we need is a few big OLs and a pass catching TE.

Mozes Mooney and Marquis Hubbard are both outstanding football players who have a chance to become "impact" players early in their career at Columbia. Mooney is a gifted wide receiver who will join next year with at least Josh Wainwright, Ronald Smith, Chris Everitt, Kaleb Pitts, Kyle Castner, Emerson Kabus and perhaps others, to give the Lions a very deep and talented group of wide receivers. Hubbard excels not only as an outside linebacker, but as a powerful running back. He could become someone special on either side of the ball.

Now that we have such great receivers I am hoping Bagnoli's bag of tricks will include a great QB who can pass to them like Anders did.

no question top 2 teams are Yale and Columbia the rest of us might as well just concede the title to them

True, Columbia looks like a top contender to vie with Yale but so do Princeton, Penn, Dartmouth, and probably Harvard, with Cornell and Brown expected to improve. With such an outstanding wr corp including recruits Roussos, Mooney, and Park (so far), if Lions' young talent at rb and qb comes to the fore, we could have best offense maybe ever. Would be great if we get TE recruit Jackson Heath to boost the pretty good tight ends we already have. Defense should continue to be excellent under Coach Ferraro. In any case looks like an incredibly competitive Ivy season coming up. Roar Lion!

Roar, I think you missed Holtsie's irony. And Holtsie, you might appreciate that my spell-checker wants to call you Hottie. Not having met you, I'm agnostic on that one.
As for our Lions, Roar, let's not forget Columbia took advantage of some unusual down seasons and just squeaked out a few of its wins. That's not to denigrate in any way this season - it was magnificent -but to say that it will be tough for CU to maintain its level. And that's not to say that the program will slide back to the sorry state it was in.
The skill positions have improved, but don't forget that offenses live and die by their lines. CU loses the vital left side of the line. Even great QBs and RBs lose if they don't get protection and running holes.

Agree with Ivy V. Columbia went 4-1 in games decided in the last minute. That probably doesn't happen twice. And we lose a very good QB w no proven backup. If the two 5th year eligible OLs return, we have four returning starters on the OL and very deep WRs. I think CU will be very good next year, but the record will depend in large part on QB play.

Dear Ivy Voyeur, in fact we lose only Wales on the O-line and when injured he was well replaced by Joe Scowden who started against Cornell. So counting Scowden we return all the starters including our top two tight ends. Can't do much better than that.
Interior D-line could be more of a challenge after losing three seniors.
