More on Trajen Johnson----three star wide receiver who caught 98 passes in his senior year for 1561 yards and 19 touchdowns--4.48 speed--#1 or #2 rated wide receiver in the the state of Arkansas--standout basketball player. In the last week, the Lions have added two standout receivers (Mozes Mooney and Trajen Johnson) and a very talented tight end (Jackson Heath) to the Columbia Football Family--NST (Not So Bad)!

Now that we are up to 26, how do we think that this class stacks up to our last two classes and to what we know about the classes recruited to date by other Ivies? We seem very deep in the skill positions but it looks to me as if we could use a few more big interior linemen on both sides of the ball.

Yale has had an unbelievable recruiting year -- essentially bringing in a mid-major class. The best Ivy group I have seen in years. A stud at rb coming in to back up Dudek.

Re Columbia: agree on the need for more linemen. The heavy recruitment of wrs suggests they are all in for the spread offense, though I still do not know who will get the ball to them (the bubble had better help develop a qb quickly). Not impressed with the rbs so far. The lb from Ohio looks good, as does the te they signed last week.

As often noted here, a lot of teams played close games, so little things (like no experienced qb) can make a big difference. Lion fans should keep in mind what happened to Princeton last season: a lot of talent but a disappointing record.

Columbia for a long while seemed head for a mediocre class, but the 8-2 final record seemed to perk things up.
