No, but I hope he gets to throw a few to Horsted/Brech/Carlson.

From the Los Angeles Daily News

Offensive Player of the Year – Brevin White, QB, Paraclete, Sr.
White took an already good Paraclete team and it made it better. After winning the CIF-SS Division 6 title last year while White was at Chaminade, Paraclete was bumped into Division 5 when White arrived via transfer. The Princeton-bound quarterback threw for 3,931 yards, 54 touchdowns, and threw just seven interceptions in 387 attempts as Paraclete won the Gold Coast League (Valley) title over Sierra Canyon and the CIF-SS Division 6 championship over Moorpark on Dec. 1.

When White wasn’t throwing darts to wide receivers Andre Hunt and Melquan Stovall, he was eluding defenders with his quick feet and underrated speed. Although he only reached the end zone twice on the ground, his ability to extend plays was essential to the Spirits, who averaged 34.6 points per game.

White is not even enrolled. Duke’s starting qb was a Princeton commit. Last year’s top recruit, Carter Dunaway never showed up. Chad Kanoff was a Vanderbilt commit. Kevin Davidson was a UC Davis commit. Rising soph Cole Smith set a Tennessee schoolboy record with over 11,000 passing yards. Rising soph John Walters was TOUTED coming out of Michigan. AND, QB John Lovett will return. He was Ivy offensive player of the year two years ago.

Speaking of Carter Dunaway, do you know where he ended up?

Dunaway is a puzzle. I googled him and there is not mention of him after he committed to Princeton. May be a personal matter, but I don't believe anyone knows for sure.

This has been discussed before, but Lovett's talents are wasted as full-time QB. Davidson has not shown anything of yet, but he may make a few steps up in Spring/Fall practice. Maybe one of the up-and-comers can step up. Would be fantastic to have a Freshman QB as other league teams have had the luxury of having.

Given the complexities of Surace’s offense, a freshman starter, without even a spring practice, is actually undesirable. Even alternating with Lovett. It would require simplification and reducing various surprises and variations. Which doesn’t mean it won’t happen somewhere along the way, especially in a year when the Tigers have a strong running corps.

All that being said, every year with this offense is a new and different adventure.

Kevin Davidson’s unimpressive showing this past season was when he was thrust into a role that did not appear to match his skill set. They tried to cast him as the red zone QB using the same formula that worked so well when Lovett was POY. I believe he is more of a thrower than a runner and could be a very good partner for Lovett next year if the coaches try to revive the “two-headed monster” offense.

That signing is in no way binding for the Ivies. It's simply ceremonial.
