Great game by Lions tonite. They completely dominated from start to finish, leading by as much as 25 at one point. Meisner was superb with 19, Smith excellent as usual, and Nate Hickman got his touch back. Stefanini looking better and better with his smooth treys. Let's see if they can keep it going.

also omitted Adlesh had 14 points, 4-of-5 3-pointers. He, like Smith, picked up 2 fouls early, played less than usual.

Electric performance by the Lions, who were literally hitting on all cylinders tonight. Meisner, Adlesh, Hickman, Smith, Stefanini, Castlin, Tape, Hunter, and Hanson all turned in solid performances.

Agreed it was electric performance. The next few games will tell whether it was just a mirage because Cornell is a weaker team. We looked equally untouchable against Sarah Lawrence, but they are are Division III team (!). It is possible that Cornell simply has no defense to speak of. For now, however, let's enjoy getting back on track...

Realistically, one can only see this game as a move towards getting back on track, given the competition. I actually see this move starting at Penn last week in the close loss.

The real key will be how we handle upcoming tougher opponents. Will the pre-season tough schedule start paying off? Will the team and the coach get more in sync? If so, we will surprise some opponents and possibly get close to .500 in the league, although I think that will be a push. I look at the squad as a work in progress, and next year as a winning team.

Didn’t Cornell give Penn a scare at the Palestra? So maybe Big Dawg is right about this being another step for us in the right direction. I had counted on seeing more of Faulds and Bibbs last night, but it is hard to quarrel with the result.

Although any win is important to Lions this year, winning at home in the league simply means survival, no more. To make the playoffs, a tough stretch goal, they must beat two out of Harvard, Yale and Brown on the road. And probably either Penn or Princeton at Levien.
