In recent years Jones has done a commendable job recruiting against Amaker and were it not for the injuries to Makai Mason and Jordan Bruner Yale might have returned to the NCAA post season tournament after their championship year two seasons ago.

These days top college talent comes from all kinds of schools both public and prep. Mason came out of Hotchkiss; Oni from Suffield Academy where he broke Shabazz Napier’s (Lawrence Academy/UConn/Orlando Magic) scoring record at the National Prep School Invitational with 52 points

Incoming freshmen look pretty good too including 3* Matthue Cotton who played at national powerhouse St. Benedicts of Newark

If (when?) the Ivy compact disintegrates, it will be thanks to a malodorous combination of an exceptionally weak, inexperienced, and rudderless lightweight Harvard president, a pushy donor who rolled said president into an inadvisable bargain with the guy downstairs, a carpetbagger coach, and other complicit and venal H facilitators.

Yeah, this is about right.

When elements of the female faculty at Harvard rose up in revolt against Larry Summers for his ill-considered but not malicious remarks about why there are not more women in the sciences, who would have imagined that one of the direct results of his ensuing resignation would be the Harvard athletic department recruiting a high school junior varsity player for a Division I college sports team?

The world -- it does work in mysterious ways sometimes.

No, actually, I think your comments are (consistently) measured. But the unsubstantiated salvos against Tommy Amaker and his staff that typically appear herein are not.
