Bell reminds me a lot of Sean Brackett. Same size, same skill set based upon a small sample.

Bell plays more like Senior Brackett than Sophomore Brackett.

:)

Sean Brackett had misused by his OC. His career was derailed during the first game of his junior year when he was badly injured as a result of some horrific play calling and was never the same player. If he had stayed healthy he would have had a great career. Let’s not forget that he was first team all Ivy as a sophomore. Frankly I would never wish injuries on any opponent.

I most certainly do not wish injuries on Bell or anyone. My post was strictly within the context of on-field performance.

While Brackett looked like he was going to go down as one of the all-time greats his sophomore year, that season proved to be his high-water mark by a wide margin for whatever reason.

We had a terrible OC who ruined his career by overusing him, starting with a disastrous play call in the Fordham game at the beginning of his junior year. It was a tragedy. I also thought that MA Oluwale, who preceded Sean, would have been a great player if not for injuries. And I did not mean to imply that you were wishing injuries upon anybody; o I hereby officially apologize.

If you want to talk All-Ivy option QBs, both Epperly and Lovett played at 6’3” 225, which is different. And Lovett got hurt at that.
