21-9 Princeton early in 2Q.

Princeton offense has scored on all 3 possessions and looks very impressive. Running, passing and great OL play with Lovett a legit dual threat.

Monmouth has some really skilled players on O, Princeton will have its hands full today.

Princeton takes opening KO of second half and goes 75 yards in 2:24. PU 37-9. Lovett 17/24, thrown 3 TDs, run for 1.

My last report for today unless Monmouth rises from the dead.

51-9, early 4Q, I think the 1’s will be watching the rest of the way

We haven't seen anything of the higher rated freshmen such as White, Banjoko, or Zambrano yet. Suspect that they are playing with the junior varsity so that they get some work.

They had player (Schneider) listed as DB playing RB in the 4Q.

For clarification purposes. I was at the game sitting just behind the Princeton bench. All 5 frosh DL played. The starting DE's ends Holuba and Hampson did not. They were not even suited up. I think LB Orr got in for few plays , but LB Rudzinski is still out.
Back up RB Quigley was on the sideline, not suited up.

Does that mean they're due?

It means Lovett and his cast are playing scary good football. His passing efficiency is 208.2

Princeton scored on 8 of 10 drives before they pulled their starters and then had one called back when the 2’s took over against Monmouth’s 1’s (their only penalty of the game). Most encouraging to me was the OL, which gave up no sacks and opened up a lot of holes for Lovett and the RBs (6.9 yds/rush). The freshman RB Trey Gray broke off their biggest run of the game against a tired DL in the 4Q. This is a danagerous offense and so far they are keeping it simple, throwing primarily to the stud WRs, running mostly in the gaps and turning Lovett loose on only a few RPOs.

Defense had 5 sacks and except for the game-opening 70-yard run played really well against a very good QB, an elite WR and a very tough RB. Holding them to 9 points was impressive; after the 1Q I was expecting Monmouth to make this a much closer game.

Great start to 2018 with dominant victories against two decent teams. I’m really looking forward to seeing how Princeton matches up against a very good Columbia team next Friday in NYC but I don’t expect to see another 50 to single-digits scoreboard ...

Go Tigers!
