Subject: Penn at Dartmouth

I'll miss this one as I'm headed for a vacation in Italy but we should know more in a few days. Personally I never know what to make of these early season OOC games.

There are many positives about both teams' performances in the first two games, but the Ivies as a group seem a bit stronger than the PL teams this year, so who knows what's real and what's not. Afterall, Penn racked up 17 sacks against Bucknell and Lehigh and allowed none. This is likely not sustainable as the competition improves. One good sign - Penn's young QB did not turn the ball over in game two and if he can keep on the upward trajectory this Penn team could exceed preseason expectations. Obviously Dartmouth will be his first true test.

Seeing all those commercials for Perillo Tours makes me want to go to Italy as well!

What you wrote about Penn could likely be said for Dartmouth as well. Even though I thought we were the better team last year, we needed the last play of the game to put the Quakers away. I expect Saturday to be another hard-fought battle.

Not going with the Perillo type. She’s a Tauck woman - high maintenance😀

I have narrowed it down to Tauck or Insight. Steves and Perillo are out. The one negative comment I have heard about Tauck is that Tauck is more about the hotels and less about the sites.

Any feedback you have would be appreciated. Thank you.

Going to Sicily which is all about historical sites but yes Tauck is very high end in terms of accommodations. Never been on a Tauck. I’ll report back.

...they were on a Perillo Tour of Albania not long after the opening kick-off this Saturday. Dartmouth D- and O-lines will dominate. Of course, there are those in this precinct who, like an infant mesmerized by a jingling set of shiny keys, can’t give enough wet and sloppy love to Princeton. The story of Ivy football in 2018, however, will be dictated by Dartmouth’s dominant interior line play.

In 1965, single and 25, I was living in a Prince's palazzo in Piazza Nova for several weeks and hanging around the Fontana de Trevi, one day, I met Miss Roma 1964 and dated her for 3years, as I was back and forth to Europe to race in 5.5 meter sailboat World Championships.

Being modest about an Olympic medal, unless I'm mistaken.

It was a true "Bridges of Madison County" story.
I plan to write a novelette about it, when I retire.

First of all, it takes a man's man to admit that he liked "The Bridges of Madison County" and I'm man enough to admit that I loved it.

Secondly, a big part of the appeal of the original novel "The Bridges of Madison County" comes from the fact that both protagonists were already in their forties. They were both fully baked adults by the time they met, one a wife and mother with two teenagers, the other a guy who had been around the world literally and figuratively.

There's something quite different about the 25-year-old young buck and Miss Roma. Both are great stories but -- let's put it this way -- when they make the movie version of your story, it won't be with 70-year-old Clint Eastwood playing you.

You're both right. I did win a medal in Yachting in the Tokyo Olympics 1964, which allowed me to go "literally and figuratively around the world"
Bullet Bob Hayes was on the plane next to me going over.

Went to Penn-Lehigh this past weekend. The team looked better than I expected. I'm not sure if they can win in Hanover, but I expect them to give a good showing.

As for BofMC, enjoyed the book. Thought the movie was only meh, but the soundtrack alone made it worth the price of admission. Johnny Hartman may have been the most underrated singer of the 20th century.
