Tigers up 31-7 at the half, first turnover of the season (fumble by WR) led to Lehigh's score.

Princeton D has bottled up Lehigh's stud RB so far and Lovett has two TD passes and 383 yards in total offense, 186 on the ground, 86 by Lovett.

Princeton scores on their first possession. Now 38-7. Lovett throws a 45 yard bomb and hits Carlson in stride. Then Lovett runs 12 yards for the TD. Lovett is just a monster

After 45-7 Lovett out and scrubs in. Many freshman playing.

Time to see if the D can keep its scoreless 3Q/4Q streak alive with the starters on the sidelines. Lehigh is still playing its 1's, but through 3Q yards/rush are 2.1.

Davidson apparently is not dressed so Keller is playing QB now. It will be interesting to see who shares time with him in the 4Q.

66-7. Bad blood between the coaching staffs?

773 in offense, a record. Wow.

Cole Smith relieved Keller, I believe he went to the same HS as Quinn Epperly in TN.

After last year, I would guess keeping the defense off the field and away from injury would be a priority. Lehigh just got in the way. The Princeton offensive depth could be the best I’ve ever seen in the league.

I also think Lehigh’s early schedule has been utterly insane, have no idea what the coach and AD were thinking.

In the 4Q, Lehigh’s first offense did nothing against Tigers’ second defense. 17 Princeton guys had at least two tackles.

Here’s a post-game quote from Lehigh’s coach on that topic:

“They’re just a better football team than we are, clearly,” LU coach Andy Coen said. “And there are reasons why they are. When you look out and their 3s [third-string players] are beating our 1s [starters], that pretty much says it all. Give me the scholarship money that the Ivies give that they say don’t, but they do, then it would be a whole different look.”

Once again the canard of “scholarship” money.

The financial aid at Princeton and any other Ivy is need based.

And I can live with that.

Well, he didn't complain about that after beating the Tigers five out of the last six seasons. I guess the Tigers just instituted the "scholarships" this past year. And he should know better, he spent time in the Ivies.

Are opening calling for the firing of their coach.

This is how Gilmore got tossed from HC last year.

It wasn't much higher, but I don't know where your number comes from. Certainly any look at the stands would refute that number. Box score says 5100.

My point was to respond to Bengal wondering where I got that #. Glad to hear ESPN was wrong.

It is just possible that ESPN's number represents the number of reported "paid" tickets. The rest of them may have been free or not documented.

Mediocre weather after a good forecast. And mostly, many alums clueless about football who have fallen for next week’s alumni weekend hype. They get to see Brown.

Brown is a touchdown worse than Lehigh. Tigers will be about 33 point favorites.

Jay Greenberg’s recap nicely captures the dominant OL and DL play this season as well as the “it’s too early to celebrate but ain’t this fun?” themes of Princeton’s 4-0 start:

“Like every team in the Tigers way this season, Lehigh looked simply exhausted by the effort of both Princeton lines. The slick cutbacks by Volker and Lovett on their TD runs were made possible only because their offensive line held their blocks. We will figure out how good Butler, Monmouth, Columbia and Lehigh are at the end of the season. Don’t need that long to be enjoying something special. The 773 yards were the most in a game in 149 years of Princeton football. And this was the largest margin of victory by the Tigers since beating Williams in 1950.”

First hand knowledge. There are starters on the team that are paying the full load. So I call BS on that lame excuse. This Lehigh coach had the opportunity to offer a scholarship and passed. What a NO class statement.

Frustrated comments by Lehigh’s coach, not particularly classy but he has played a brutal schedule and his team just got pummelled yet again.

For Princeton fans trying to assess how good this team truly is, his calling out of Princeton’s depth validates that this year’s team has a lot of talent in the trenches as well as the skill positions and LBs. The way this team has asserted itself as games have progressed has been another indication that its depth has allowed the coaches to rotate a flow of rested and aggressive linemen and wear teams down.
