Crimson dominate Quakers

Dartmouth wins big over Red, they smell a titile

Brown beats Columbia, Lions shell shocked and Brown can score lots of points on anyone

Yale beats Princeton by 10-14
Tiger D is nicked but will keep it close, for a while
In current configuration Tiger O not a scoring threat

Future pick
Harvard beats Yale in finale to get revenge for Princeton incident which messed with their Mojo

Dartmouth outright Ivy Champ

Harvard 28, Penn 10 - Harvard's stout defense too much for Penn's offense, and the Quakers' D can't contain Harvard's run game.

Brown 49, Columbia 45 - Agree with M3 that Brown will shock the Lions and will be able to score on their typically stingy defense; Columbia is not accustomed to playing in shootouts and Brown simply makes an extra play or two to pull off the upset.

Yale 24, Princeton 14 - I thought Princeton was the class of the league when I saw them at Brown Stadium; however, Yale was even more impressive in the same venue. Their defense looked more disruptive (I believe they forced 4 turnovers), and that could be the difference in this one.

Dartmouth 38, Cornell 14 - A bit of a mismatch in this year's Battle of the Big Colors (trademark forthcoming). Dartmouth's defense should shut Cornell down; the only question is if their offense can score at will. I think they can.

Battle of the Big Colors - I love it.

Now if only there could be an appropriate corresponding trophy. The Crayola Box?

This is a big opportunity for Brown. Our DBs have had two awful weeks in a row and Brown can score against anybody. Can the erratic CU offense score enough points to win a shootout?

Agree with Moonbear that Yale beats Princeton. Grooms is a terrific player. Going to pick Columbia over Brown, but without conviction. Harvard and Dartmouth win easily.

Dartmouth wins by only 10 points in a defensive struggle.

Harvard beats Penn - Crimson on a roll.
Brown gets by Columbia - Lions losing their mojo.
Yale sneaks by Princeton - Tigers also on down slide.
Dartmouth knocks off Cornell - I wish there was an upset in the making, but Big Green has title in their sites

Dartmouth over Cornell 28-7. Defense wins games and
championships. Teevens knows how to coach.

Harvard over Penn 36-14 This should have been H's year.
But fortune refused them a smile. Still, much
better than P.

Princeton over Yale 28-21, Just a hunch. The teams are about
even and it all depends on who gets the bounces.

Brown over Columbia 48-45, Well who knows? I actually think
C is the better team, but I think B has something
to prove. Has the IL ever produced a worse defense
than Brown? How did they get this bad? Everyone
says it is inferior players. Yep, and bad coaching!

eek.

Yale has been improving steadily through the season. Reno does not get a lot of credit for developing his players, but he deserves to be recognized for his good work this year.

This game is “go time” for Surace. He can finish co-champion or disappointing also ran after a 7-0 start. It’s time to think expansively about how to get more production out of the quarterback position. Very expansively. Everybody says that they play to win and Surace is as aggressive as any coach in the league in terms of going for it on fourth down et cetera. Gotta do that now at QB.

Could well be an exact duplicate of 2019 season. I am not sure how much “game time” Surace handles as opposed to his OC Willis who is a first year OC. Willis has been anything but innovative yet this may be more related to personnel rather than Willis. Smith is a completely different QB if he has time in the pocket or is pressured. Still a mystery about what happened with Brevin White who had a few snaps in garbage time earlier in the season but has otherwise been absent during his for years.

Much as I hate to root for Yale, I would like to see P and Surace fall on their asses.

Sounds like sour grapes. Well, you still have The (meaningless) Game to play.

Only meaningless if Dartmouth and/or Princeton win out.

Nothing sweeter than seeing all you who chose Yale eat your crow pie :) 8-1, likely 9-1 leads to yet another Ivy title. I think it safe to say Surace has done a masterful job.

Old Blue: I do enjoy your posts. But, I must ask, how “old” are you, really?
