His severance payout from UCLA ends in January 2022.

His age is a red flag. He might just be content to get another long term guaranteed payout and not care if he fails. If he fails it might be the end of UConn Football.

This is a high profile hiring. This will help with exposure. I'd love to see him succeed but I suspect he's going to struggle severely. The TCU job makes more sense however, UConn needs this one more. Mora should tout his NFL head coaching background that should improve recruiting.

Ron Brown has been a assistant coach for Nebraska for 24 years winning 3 NCAA championships in the process.TCU, Akron, and UMass have coaching openings. Brown has been position coach his entire career. I presume TCU is seeking one with at least offense \ defense coordinator experience. I can't explain why I feel Akron should be the best place for Ron Brown.
