My aunt immigrated from China and it sickens me to hear how the Chinese have been treated during COVID-19. This pandemic has been distressing for many of us. It's much more difficult for the Chinese because they don't know what's going to happen when they are in public. Chinese- Americans and Chinese in Asia have nothing to do with this virus. Our government do experiments nearly 100% of have no knowledge of.

Jameson Wang and his family's experience is worth publishing especially what's been happening the past two years.

1915 Brown smashed the athletic segregation with Fritz Pollard. In 1917 President Wilson said America was 1 to 2 generations from integration. Fritz Pollard went on to became the NFL's first black coach. In 1947 the Crimson 's Chet Pierce was the first black athlete to travel to the south to play against a white college. Jameson Wang may seem like a trailblazer to the media and fans but they're are not aware of Ivy football history.

Even though this conference is almost entirely forgotten to the point that many assume the Ivy League plays one 1 football game per year(Harvard vs. Yale). This conference continues to influence football. The most recent is making the game safer while staying competitive. Many look at the 19th century as the time Ivy basically created the sport by taking it away from its soccer & rugby like format and the first half of the 20th century they defined the sport (Ivy's halcyon era). This conference continues to quietly influence college football.

Penn's Jones reminded me of a 1990 deaf Nebraska Linebacker. His interpreter was on the sidelines. I think this player had a brief NFL career.
When the Jones story is told I hope the journalists interview the 1990 Nebraska player.

There was a kid on an upper echelon Ivy League football team at the same time that Nebraska linebacker played, and he was dealing with a similar challenge.

PQ: you understand, I'm sure, that some people do not want to permit their personal challenges to be made available for public consumption. And the tone of this thread is just so unappealing- these people are simply not worthy of my best material.

Michael Valmas: I understand and respect that you've abstained from sharing private information. In this social media era that is something that's been forgotten and not respected. Enjoy tomorrow's games.

I am aware of an IL Football player in the last decade who was born deaf, and played linebacker with great success.

The only accomodation was an effort by the game officials to blow their whistles very loud and to raise their arm when the ball was dead--as the concern was a late hit. Both officials and competing coaches were aware and were very supportive.

He graduated, worked for an elite strategy consulting firm, and was accepted to a top MBA program.

Adversity builds success.

Michael, if I were in Inwood you would have a beverage in your hand.

I have had some health issues--bad but not covid-- that have limited my travel this year. I did catch a game in Providence earlier this season.

Now, waiting for the lightning-delay to clear.
