Subject: If Harvard beats Yale

If Crimson prevails this Saturday they will be rightfully enraged. Thus far the League office has given a redundant scripted apology then went silent. Did anyone discern how moving forward this won't be repeated in such a costly game\ manner? I suspect the league office is secretly rooting for Yale, Cornell and Pennsylvania.
My question to Harvard: This Saturday if you win and Dartmouth and Princeton go down what will be your next move?

Ed S. : Will Harvard accept the referees mistake that ended up costing the Princeton game even if it ends up costing them the Ivy championship?

Let it go, II. Besides, someone posted on these boards that there was a conflicting statement in the rules that allowed the reviewing ref to overrule the field ref. So, it appears that John H and the League office may have jumped to conclusions about applicable rules. If so, as I stated above, we Tigers will generously accept your apologies🐅😁😎

I have a suspicion that the initial statement out of the Ivy League office the Sunday after the P-H game was issued at Harvard's behest.

Bad calls are made every day in every Ivy League game in every Ivy League sport. Some of those bad calls affect the outcome of the game. Some of them also happen at the very end of the game. Some of them affect championships.

And yet, out of all the thousands if not millions of bad calls made in all the Ivy games over the decades, the Ivy League office issues a statement on a weekend morning about this one incident? As far as I can remember, this is absolutely unprecedented.

That's Harvard sway, baby. But they've shot their wad now.

The league office issued the statement because the call was unprecedented. I have not heard anyone say they can ever recall an official using replay to give a coach a timeout. Whistle on the field never blew and it sure looked like they only went to replay booth after Surace went nuts on the sideline and gestured up to the replay booth. Would love it if one person could cite a situation where a replay booth decision awarded a team a timeout. Was watching the Packers game yesterday and LaFleur tried to call a timeout right by a ref before ball was snapped and official did not give it to him. And nobody is saying Surace or Princeton did anything wrong during that situation. It was just an inexcusable call in this day and age.
