In reply to: Memphis Bill 's message, "The Game" on 10:27:46 11/19/21 Fri

I will be traveling to The Game tomorrow and would like an insider’s take on what time I should plan to be in the vicinity of the Yale Bowl to get into Lot D at the 9 AM opening. In years past, the traffic jams always caused me to not be able to park until 11 AM. Do they block off Central Ave. until 9? What happens if people arrive at 8AM?

Lots “officially” open at 9, but at past Harvard games they have let folks in as early as 8:30. I don’t think Central Ave will be closed before 9. Getting there at 8 will put you in line with the early birds and assure a good spot in Lot D, near Central Ave and the Bowl.
