Nice article in The NY Times today featuring Princeton and Dartmouth.

https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/21/sports/ncaafootball/ivy-league-football-champion.html

From the article: “The engravings on the championship trophy, though, won’t tell the story of an extraordinary year for the only Division I league that did not play football last season because of the coronavirus pandemic — and was trying to dodge its remnants until the end of this season. (Three Dartmouth senior defensive starters missed their career finale Saturday after testing positive for the virus earlier this week.)”

Congrats to both Dartmouth and Princeton on winning another Ivy League title! The only problem with this NY Times article is nobody cares as the crowd at the Penn-Princeton game was just under 4k and the Dartmouth vs. Brown game listed attendance in the box score at zero. It was probably closer to 2K, but that is the entire problem with the Ivy League championship. Meanwhile the Harvard vs. Yale game drew 49,500. Congrats to Harvard and Yale for promoting the big game! I think all the other Ivy games were less than 5K so how come H-Y continues to have great success with "The Game" and the rest of the league is like a high school JV game???? Just think of the revenue flowing into the H-Y athletic departments where the rest of the league is barely even covering the cost of the referees.

That wasn't Dartmouth's fault.

The away stands at Brown Stadium looked like quite a few Dartmouth fans came to the game. If the total attendance was around 2k, then there were probably more people on the Dartmouth side than on the Brown side.

In any event, I am annoyed that Brown has apparently quit tracking attendance.

My nephew and niece, made 450 wood fired brick oven pizzas at the game
They sold out middle of the 4th quarter.

H-Y is the "homecoming" game for both schools. 90% of the fans in attendance don't go to football games other than that particular one.
