Bengal - these may fall into the category of "worthy backups" but junior DL Stagg played a lot of snaps this year as did LBs Aubrey, Bonczek and Corbin and DBs Kim, Carrington and De Iullis. Banjoko and I believe Azevedo did not play as much this year, but did as Sophomores and also are listed as a Juniors. On D I think Princeton will have a solid set of returnees even without 5th year seniors but will need to fill out the 2-deep with talent from this year's freshman and sophomore classes.

O will be more of a project since a new QB will take over for the 4th straight season along with a completely new OL. Volker and Carr should be solid at RB and Iosivas will be the go-to receiver. WRs Axelrood and Hawkins also saw a lot of playing time and it would be great if Bobo can return too (I didn't think Princeton let students take off one semester and then graduate in the winter, but maybe Covid changed all of that).

And returning all-Ivy punter Will Powers will be a key performer next year.

Coach Surace has an excellent track record of executing his "recruit and develop" strategy to position Princeton to challenge for the league title, I'm looking forward to seeing the team he puts on the field next year.

For a long time P required an undergrad to take a year off rather than just a semester. I believe it was over 10 years ago that the University changed this rule. Bobo announced on a podcast during the season that he will take the spring off and do his 8th semester in the fall.

Your other observations are well taken. But while we had good depth, replacing the entire OL, for example, in front of a new QB starter, is much more of a challenge than one would prefer. Two OL starters and a couple of backups on the OL have another year of eligibility. We’ll see what they will do.

Tigers had 41 seniors on their roster this year, so we should expect a few more to join Bobo.

Great news on Bobo, he is outstanding.

And unfortunately, if this year was any guide, we probably won't find out who has decided to return until we see the game notes for the opener against Stetson ...

Contenders for next year's starting QB:

1. Blake Stenstrom (So) - transfer from Colorado who played primarily in Wildcat formations in the red zone

2. Niko Vangarelli (Fr) - similar story

3. Joe Hutchinson (Jr) - 3* recruit we have not seen much of

4. Blaine McCallister (Fr) - similar story

McCallister is the smallest of the group at 6'3" 210 lbs and Hutchinson is 6'6" 220 lbs.

Has Brevin White put his name into the transfer portal?

I have no present idea what anybody other than Bobo, Triplett, and Aschenbrand are doing. I am guessing Bobo will not be the only returnee from the Class of ‘22. But I have no insight into that at the moment.
