Dominant force who had an outstanding career as a Tiger.

Congrats to JT!

On Jan. 28, 2016, Tyler committed to Harvard. Two days later he flipped to Princeton.

Interesting. Maybe he had a premonition about how the 2021 timeout controversy would play out.

Somebody should compile a list of high profile Ivy athletes who were committed to or extremely focused on one Ivy, but ended up at another where they made a big difference.

I recall that Jay Fiedler at one time was headed to Old Nassau. I'm sure that GG can confirm or refute that possibly apocryphal story. What a difference that would have made to GG's undergraduate experience.

I was told (albeit not by Jay) that he was going to Stanford before ending up in Hanover.

There's no shortage of guys who changed their minds and ended up at another Ivy for whatever reason. Nick Howard (Cornell) is one of many examples.

Again, very interesting.

Obviously, Fiedler flourished at Dartmouth, but I wonder if he ever wishes he had gone to The Farm to experience the second Bill Walsh administration.

I give Cornell credit for being honest with Nick Howard that they saw him as a linebacker. The Big Red must be kicking themselves that they let him get away to succeed so immediately in The Woods.

And I'm sure playing for him would have been interesting as well.

I don't think Walsh took over until Jay was pretty well-established at Dartmouth.
