Boy, the sports talking heads are excoriating the Cowboys' decision to run Dak Prescott on a quarterback draw on their final play. Did it work? No, but it almost did. I can't point to that call as the critical mistake which cost them the game.

How about 14 penalties?

Not only did the Cowboys commit 14 penalties, they came at the worst times. The bigger the moment in the fourth quarter, the more likely the Cowboys were to commit a penalty. That's what cost them the game.

Penalties are not a random occurrence. Good teams commit fewer of them.

Agreed.

But sports are like women. We appreciate good; what we really hunger for is exciting.

After the game, Mike McCarthy complained about the officiating, saying that the umpire did not spot the ball quickly enough after Prescott's quarterback draw. Shut up, Mike. You called a play which you knew ran the risk of causing time to expire. Prescott did not slide as early as he could have, increasing the risk. You took a chance, it didn't work out due to the exact risk (time) that you voluntarily accepted. So shut the hell up.

Ms. ivy guy is both exciting and a good game.

The Steelers, Cowboys, Raiders, Eagles, and Patriots played poorly and were overmatched in the playoffs.

Let's hope the Cardinals and Rams are a better game tonight.

The most important decision any person makes in their life is who they marry. The only other decision which comes close is what career they pursue.

Ivy Guy, you chose well. Mazeltov.

What we learned over the weekend is that each of the top tier of quarterbacks in the NFL is a gigantic weapon for their team. It's hard to overcome one of the elite quarterbacks having a good day. That's not exactly a blinding insight, but it tells the story most of the time.

Marrying the right woman is like drafting the right quarterback. You still have to put together the rest of the roster and you've still got to craft a game plan, but that is the foundation right there.

An Observer: Didn’t “most important decisions one makes” come up recently? At that time we agreed that the MOST important is whom one chooses to be born to.🤔🐅

A terrible decision. Unless he gets into the end zone, the game is over.
