The Patriot League announced a set of changes to its AI, to take effect with the class of 2013.

"Included in the revisions are the implementation of a common League admissions floor, the creation of a system of admissions bands for football and basketball (men's and women's), and a methodology for including transfer student-athletes into the academic index calculation."
The idea of going to bands in basketball; might the Ancient Eight ADs be looking at this to see how this works out from a Patriot League recruiting standpoint?
Nothing mentioned on the AI floor number, nor what the bands will be.
And no mention of how the AI and bands would apply to the PL's two associate members in football: Georgetown and Fordham.
As both men's and women's basketball in the Patriot League are scholarship sports, the number of new scholarships in any year can vary greatly; there is no mention of how the bands will handle this. Nor whether the bands will be used for non-recruited walk-ons. Seems like a whole lot of complexity.
No word on whether the basketball bands will informally be known as the TA rule.
