I couldn't agree more... Not only do we lose one of the best "footbally" Saturdays, but if planning on attending, have to leave an hour early to fight the Route 1 Corridor commuter traffic. I have no use for the Friday Night format, which as everyone knows, is for High Schools. If ESPNU can't fit us in on a Saturday, this is only confirming our "second-class citizenship" in the ranks of college football. I know the administrations are grudgingly allowing this "step forward" but come on... there has to be a better solution.

If I remember correctly, Penn and Princeton were the last two schools to use the single wing. How cool would it be to mark the 100th game with each team wearing their old striped jerseys and playing this style offense?

Denison ran the single wing into the 80's and perhapa beyond.

What is the viewership of ESPNU? Does anyone know what the two prior Princeton Friday night games drew as a television audience?

I also prefer Saturday afternoon games. And if it has to be a night game, I'd prefer earlier in the season. I'd also rather have the teams have their usual full six days between games, although this does give us an extra day before the Yale game.

But depending on the size of the TV audience, this kind of exposure around the country once a season has to be weighed in the balance. The League is more and more of an afterthought, almost a regional curiosity. With recruiting more and more national in scope and alumni around the country, I am compelled to say that my convenience and sense of nostalgia are not the only factors. If I get a chance between now and the fall, I'll try to get a sense of how the coaches feel about this -- other posters may be able to get that insight quicker.

No, but virtually every recruit has TIVO and this is a great tool for both schools.

We tend not to go to Friday night games,
who likes to tailgate in the dark ?

Would the Princeton ticket office consider a
Saturday-afternoons-only season ticket package ?
