I read several articles on this topic. While some form of super league seems to be in the works, this new league may struggle to launch in the near future.

An Oregon newspaper indicated that the Super League proposal has fallen on deaf ears when its comes to the power players in college football - the Big Ten, SEC, ESPN and FOX - who currently control the majority of revenue, exposure and media rights. The Big Ten, SEC, Big 12 and ACC all have their media rights tied up through at least 2030. Thus, it seems very unlikely they will voluntarily break those deals so far in advance of their termination.
