ITHACA, N.Y. – Jon Jaques '10, an impactful player and coach on some of the most successful Big Red teams in school history, has been named the Robert E. Gallagher '44 Head Coach of Cornell Men's Basketball by Nicki Moore, the Meakem & Smith Director of Athletics and Physical Education. Good choice. Hope he can continue to build on Earl's success.

Agreed I think Jon Jacques is the obvious successor to Brian Earl as he's a good recruiter and as a former Cornell player from those great teams 2007-2010, hopefully he can get the program back to an elite level. I think Brian Earl was a good coach at Cornell, but he could never break through to an Ivy Championship and wasn't going to get the basketball program to the next level. Go Big Red!
