H 13, D 7. Crimson stay alive one game back of YPPC

Women:

H 13, Cr 5

Very tight six-team race

Y/Pe tomorrow — big game, Y last league undefeated. Penn win leaves 1-6 one game apart.

Women national broadcast: Yale plasters Penn 16-8. The Quakers in a week have gone from #7 national ranking after a win over #1 UMD to a tie for fourth place in the Ivies at 2-2, following losses at Princeton and Yale.

Yale alone at top 4-0, they have H, C and C to go.

I may have jinxed, temporarily at least, Penn WLAX. Season still has a long way to go, though.

If you had asked this board to name the one sport for all of the 2023-24 academic year in which fans were most confident in the pre-season to name the eventual champion, it would have been women's lacrosse and Penn.

After Penn defeated Maryland, that prognostication looked entirely on track.

That Penn could lose at Princeton and then at home against Yale is stunning. And lose convincingly to both.
