good grief. I never knew someone who could be so hateful towards another person just because they didn't believe in god. Carrie, if atheists are the downfall of America, then...omy, technology wouldn't be as advanced as it is today, democracy would be bull, and all the children in school would be brainwashed to believe in god.

PUBLIC schools, anyway, SHOULDN'T be the prime place for children to adopt a religion. It should be at home. If parents want their kids to learn about god, then they can send them to a private school.

And people in schools CAN pray if they want to but it can't be induced upon the students by any school staff/the administration. That would be unfair to other religions/beliefs.

You said that the "lack of knowledge of the truth has caussed our county numerous problems." Well, I'd like to know what these problems are, and point out that maybe these "problems" occured because something needed to change.

Hmmm...sure our country's MORALS were founded on the belief of god, mainly because most of the colonists already had a god-ish religious background, but you should also remember: our country was ALSO FOUNDED ON THE INSTITUTION OF SLAVERY. Where's slavery today in America? Gone. And good riddence. Things change Carrie.
