You have a point here, but not everyone that has ever roamed the earth has a recorded birth or death certificate, because back in the day they did not keep such records. especially with the changes made to the calander, it was not like the one we use today, so who knows if the day someone was born and died back then is really that accurate, if it was even recorded at all.

And religion does not nessicarily (sorry I'm a terrible speller) keep people from harming themselves, look at the 9/11 terrorist who died for buddah or whoever they worship, it is considered a high honor to die like that for their god.
