Why am I athiest?
Religion is a belief based on what man has recorded over millions and millions of years. Over these millions of years, is it not greatly possible that somewhere, someway, at sometime, the recorder had made a slight exageration or a slight bend in the truth. Take the game "Telephone" for example. When a person starts with a word or phrase, it is clear and persice. But when the phrase reaches the end of the line, it is greatly distorted.
This is not the only reason I am atheist. Why choose between three or four choices when you can have a wide variety of choices that you, as an individual, can choose? Why belong to a majority or group that chooses your beliefs for you?
Most poeple who are not athiest have followed the path of their mothers and fathers. Instead of following my christian mother, I decided to choose my own path, and base my ideas on fact not on some bullshit that some unknown guy made up a million years ago.
