Subject: Gel powder-Activator & allergies

To make a long story short my nail technician hates doing gel nails with the UV light. Since I am highly allergic to something in the acrylic nails I have to use gel.

Several weeks ago the technician used a "gel powder" on my nails & I had an allergic reaction. She did admit that she used the same activator (or similar) that she uses on the acrylics. I do not know if I am allergic to the activator or to the powder, but I am assuming it is the activator since I can't even be exposed to any liquid that the brushes have been cleaned in without an allergic reaction.

My question is this, is there an activator that has different ingredients that can be used with the gel powder? I really liked the looks of the gel powder & I hate the dipping powder we are currently using.

I would appreciate any help in this. Thanks!
