Subject: Anyone compete with Gel?

Just wondered if anyone else had tried competition with gel? I did a few years back and it was great fun. I ended up taking second place in tip and overlay competition, barely beat out by a nationally ranked acrylic competitor. She later confided to me that she was just blown away by my gel nails. She couldn't believe it. She had never seen them done so flawlessly. And in competition, you can't beat a gel for a stunning high gloss finish! I don't mean to toot my own horn, but the truth is so many techs who do try gel (and I give them credit for at least trying) have a terrible problem with getting them to level out properly; very wavy and uneven application. Anyway, if you haven't tried gel in competition, DO! It's awesome.
