Subject: Defensive coordinator in town?

My sources have indicated that a candidate for defensive coordinator may be in Macomb Friday, June 24 for an interview. Rumor has it that it's Kirk Nystrom who spent one year (last season) at DePauw University in Indiana (D-III, I think). Before that, he was at TCU as an assistant and prior to that, spent 13 seasons on Gary Darnell's staff at Western Michigan. He's a 1988 Michigan State grad whose father was an All-American in 1955 at Michigan State, Carl "Buck" Nystrom. The elder is considered one of the best line coaches in the country. Will try and verify for a later post.
