Subject: Big week for WIU

Starting with Evansville, I believe this week will tell how far the program has come. Coach Thomas has this thing going the right way, and it would be great to see the fans come out this week to support them to give a nice home court advantage. Two out of three would be a great week IMO.

Very disappointing score. Evansville was picked last in their conference- this before 2/3 players were dismissed a couple of weeks ago. Certainly a team in turmoil- according to recent news reports. Loyola is picked last in their conference, Drake 6th. These games scare me now.

The Mid-Con continues to struggle- look at tonights scores. Looks like ORU and Valpo to carry the banner.

I believe that Coach Thomas is the right man with no doubt.I'm sure the players are playing hard. The talent still must be a ways off to compete with other folks Western should be competitive with.

I don't want to sound negative, the year is young.I just feel bad that the program was allowed to deteriorate to the point that such a massive rebuilding is needed.

I wish them luck, and still feel optimistic about moving up in the Mid-Con standings.

Don't read too much into the final score of the Evansville game, it was alot more competetive than that. We ran into a very hot shooting team on a night we couldn't hit anything. Evansville is a much improved team and will do well in the Valley. We should win tonight against Loyola and then hopefully even our record against Drake. If that can get done it will be a successful week. We will need to shoot better for this to happen. The crowds have been pretty good and hopefully tonights will be even better. GO 'NECKS

Well, hopefully the Neck's can improve on their conference standing from last year. I'm sure Coach Thomas is the best man for the job, and, I'm sure he'll get some legitimate D-1 athletes before long. As it is now, I believe they would struggle against a lot of D-2 schools. SIUE showed us that much.Disappointing to get blown out by mid-major's.Thought Western might be able to compete.

We will still try to get to a game this year, will look at the schedule again and try for a Saturday early start.
