Subject: Great game, but where was TJ?

Had a great time watching the game on TV. WIU was very physical and obviously wanted to beat Valpo!! Guard foul trouble could have been pretty serious. Schmidt did not do a thing, really needed help when Jackson and Koster left the game. Where was TJ? I thought I saw him on the bench in street clothes.

I was alittle disappointed in the size of the crowd but it certainly was loud and gave WIU a home court advantage. Thomas has really recruited some gifted athletes. The one rebound that Oguns almost had over one of there big kids was big time!!! Think its time for the Necks to roll for a couple of games. Lets solidify our tournament chances and get into the middle of the pack to improve our chances in the tournament. Although when it all comes down to it, if we can beat anybody on any given night.

I was wondering where TJ was, too. It was good to see this one not slip away from us (and the women). I agree with you; we can play with anyone in this league. The tournament should be very interesting.

It is my understanding that TJ is suspended for a violation of team rules. He missed a practice or something like that. As I posted before I think this team will get better and better as they play together. I don't think that teams will be lining up to play us come tournament time cause we will be very dangerous and could suprise alot of people.

Miss a practice, sit a game!!! My kind of coach! One of the best players I ever coached kept cutting catching the bus close. I warned him and everyone else that when the bus was gone, it was gone. He missed it one day, road over with his mom, and he sat right next to me for the entire game in his street clothes. Not only did I get his attention, but everyone else understood that a rule is a rule. Did not have anymore trouble with that for the rest of the year and then some. We could have used him, but with him we got beat at Valpo by three, without him, well, you know Coach Thomas has his attention!!! The Valpo page is saying the same thing, wait to the end of the season........how about an old fashion Valpo-WIU final!!
