So the demise of the MidCon was premature!!!! CSU is just a scary memory, Valpo, well they will be truly missed and I wish them luck. But IPFW, NDst, and SDst, are all great additions. The Dakotas have great tradition already in place and will definitely be very competitive in a number of sports. IPFW has a ton of potential. It also increases the number Championship Series schools to 4. SU, NDst, SDst, and WIU are all very similiar sport wise and facility wise. This is definitely a good thing.
Now for a TV package that puts the MidCon on TV regularly instead of the Colonial League!!!
Yes, good to see the new additions. From another site, UMKC is evaluating their athletic programs and what is necessary to compete at D1. Over the next four months. Hope this isn't trouble brewing for the Mid-Con.They remind me of UIC. Just can't seem to tap into a large metro area full of athletes.An excellent school, but not a lot of fan interest.
