Bro, its not our teams that needs man-parts, its yours.....i tell you what, i'll loan your team my set this season so that maybe you guys can at least win a game or two....they sure don't have the balls to ever be a threat....so maybe they can at least get a out of the negative in the RPI bracket....

Most pitiful athletic department in Division I

I'm not in favor of Chicago State leaving the MidCon. My question is why do the Cougars seem to struggle. When they first joined, I remember a lot of optimism around the league. Here is a school in a sports hotbed- look out. Is it money? Facilities?Commitment from the school? I would like to see CSU succed.

Chicago State succeed? How about win a non-conference games this year. How can any "Mid-Major" type program be expected to succeed when they're playing the non-conference schedule that the Cougars have this year. No home games at all? We're their home opener on January 2! Men's basketball is obviously nothing more than a revenue generator as far as their athletic department is concerned.

I actually like the cougars. Its one of those very unpredictable teams...they'll get pummeled on thier non-conference, maybe pull an upset once at one of the lower level teams...they'll lose to the worste teams in the mid-con and then pull of some thrilling upset over the top 3. They never cease to be a good game to watch. I must admit though, the school is taking advantage of thier student athletes, they are using these students as a way to make money and give the athletes nothing to win with and in spite of it all they end up pulling off an upset every once in a while. There school administration ought to be ashamed for ruining young athletes careers the way they do.

Well, at least their guys will see some country and play in some top arenas. Still, it's a shame they can't tap into the Chicago talent. As we all know, it only takes two or three real talented guys to help move their program at the MidMajor level.

Hope to catch ORU at Western next year.

also, it seems pretty obvious from the lack of student support that the school doesn't care a whole lot about the athletic program. I mean look at this board, do they even have a pep band or an actual mascot that shows up at games?

I thought I read an article a few weeks ago indicating that CSU was building a new arena- sounded like something that could be one of the best in the MidCon.That's good! Anyone have particulars on this building?

I did read that article and was very happy to hear that the administration is putting back into the student/athlete community. I have seen prospectus pictures, and also read about the increased revenues to the baseball program. That is good news, CSU athletics has needed a pep-shot for a while, its good that it is finally recieving one. The basketball program has deserved more than it recieved for a while now.
