We've used the airhead for two years. Not sure what your issue is. once the composting is complete it's just dirt and it goes back to nature. I can't see how the small amount, less than 3gal/month for two people, could be used for much of an energy source.
As for the links I didn't see any hard data. Just arm waving. I'd like to see some numbers. But I got the idea that it's not a good idea for live aboard situation. It's enough keeping last months deposits aboard for a month to complete decomposition.
