Twin keels are great - some of my earliest memories are seeing boats drying out on the tidal mudflats in the UK. I love Roger Taylor's Ming Ming - a bilge keel Coribee.

Apparently if designed right most deficiencies normally found in bilge keel boats can be alleviated - cant remember the source - Bolger or some such...

If 2 doesn't do it for you, take a look at a Golden Hind...Hard chines bilge keels AND a shallow full keel...
