I'm not linked in any way - just trying to help.

As 'Margaret Thomas' is a very common name -can you give me some more details to work on?

Did she come out to 'Oz' alone? If not - do you have any other family names (less common) who may be found more easily!

Do you know which State/City she went to? Each of our State Libraries has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (Query form on-line) -they will check their records incluing electoral rolls (past & present) -and one of the States would have newspaper notices of such 'murder' happeniing.
Did she marry? Parents names? And anything else?
