Our 'National Aus Archives shows this:
Wallace Mayo (with an 'o') 'Broadfoot b Sydney enlisted Marrickville n.o.k.mother Sarah (1914-1920)

NSW/BMD has this:
'Wallace M Broadfoot married Ailsa A Marks 1925
Wallace Maye (with an 'e') Broadfoot died 1966 parents David & Sarah

If this doesn't fit - can you tell me (roughly) when your Wallace arrived? Do you know in which State? Each State Library has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (Query form on-line) - they will check electoral rolls for you (past & present.
