Hi Julie, I believe that i am related to this family, not through the Mabbett's but through the Watts family. I am very interested in any information that you may have on Francis Watts and Mary Stokes.


I descend from Francis James Watts baptised 29 Jan 1815 St Mary, Lambeth Surrey to Francis Watts and Mary, a brother of Nancy Watts'. Francis James Watts also came to Australia, however he went to Brisbane in 1849. He married Frances Lancefield there and had 3 boys. I had a record of his baptism in Lambeth, along with his sisters Elizabeth (1811), Nancy (1813) and Maria (1817) to Francis and Mary Watts. I had not found his mother's maiden name though and am most interested to know where you have this from? Is it from Nancy's death in Australia?
