Mary was a famine orphan from Enniskillen Ireland, she arrived Port Phillip (Melbourne) January 1850 about 15 years old and was sent to John Purdee of Moonee Ponds (Melbourne suburb) probably to train as a domestic servant.
Listed as Mary McAlHoney in shipping. Had her first child with James Kennedy about 1857 in Vic.(probably not married).
