Hello Heather,
I have been racking my brains trying to find the birth date of John Flintoff died 25.8.1852 and is buried at Clare Cemetry. He came to S. Aust from NSW with his new wife Mary Mckenzie on the Brig Dorset 28th Feb 1846.

I figured that his tombstone might give John's age but I don't know if it still exists

His son David Alexander Flintoff was listed with the Rifle Volunteer Force 3 times 18??,1880 and 1885

I have spent a lot of time trying to find where and when the Flintoff's came into Australia with no luck.

I would be interested in any information that you have of the Flintoff'd in S. Australia
