My G G Grandfather William Bennett emigrated from Cornwall with his family in 1847. A family story says he was shot and killed c1860, while returning to his gold claim?? I think c1860 is when he died but nor sure where. His wife was Ann (nee Saunders) and she remarried in 1865. The family lived in the Tusmore area of Adelaide.
