Susan,

You mentioned that you had been unable to find a birth record for your grandfather. I would suggest that the birth of Cecil New registered in 1885 (entry 15002) at Dubbo is most probably the one you are looking for (Dubbo is not far from Warren). A transcription of this entry would be available for $15 from any of the authorised transcription agents. The parents' names are indexed as Alfred J and Susannah J. They also had a daughter, Edith M, in 1883.

The best way to find out where your grandfather is buried is to purchase a death certificate. This should show date and place of burial.
