I'm in Adelaide and for 10 years have been doing free research for people all around the world who want information regarding family/ancetors who came here in the 1800's. I was browsing the Voy Forums Australian Family History Message Board and saw your request re David Ferguson. I looked for some information re David and family when I was in the Library a few days ago, and the following is what I found:-

MARRIAGE.

David, of full age, single, father's name not recorded married 20th September 1842 to Ellen Horne single, minor, father's name not recorded, at Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide District Adelaide reference book page 19

CHILDREN BORN TO DAVID FERGUSON & ELLEN HORNE.

1. David born 23rd May 1851 Port adelaide, District Adelaide reference book 3 page 211

2. Ellen born 28th April 1853 place of birth not recorded, District Adelaide reference book 4 page 257

3. John Carson born 13th March 1862 Port Adelaide, District Adelaide reference book 20 page 300

4. Mary born 3rd August 1855 place of birth not recorded, District Adelaide reference book 5 page 198

5. Mary Wilhelmina born 28th August 1857 Queenstown, District Adelaide reference book 11 page 156

6. David born 15th March 1845 Albert Town (now called Alberton) District Adelaide reference book 1 page 103.

7. Isabel born 12th April 1849 Albert Town District Adelaide reference book 2 page 145.

DEATH

David, aged 12 months of Port Adelaide died 21st March 1846 place of death not recorded, District Adelaide son of David Ferguson reference book 1 page 48

MARRIAGES.

David aged 25 years, single, son of David Ferguson married 12th October 1876 to Elizabeth Ann Williams, aged 21 years, single, daughter of William Williams at St. Paul Churh, Port Adelaide, District Port Adelaide refeence book 110 page 298

CHILDREN BORN TO DAVID FERGUSON & ELIZABETH WILLIAMS.

1. Ellen Letty born 16th August 1877 Portland Estate, District Port adelaide reference book 186 page 317 symbol "A" denoting (1) The Registrar has made an amendment to the information on this birth record and/or (2) The Registrar has included additional information on this birth record.

2. Elsie May born 30th November 1881 Portland Estate, District Port Adelaide reference book 272 page 479

3. Jessie Isabel born 6th October 1879 Portland Estate District Port Adelaide reference book 228 page 441

4. Stella born 4th June 1884 Portland Estate District Port Adelaide reference book 329 page 43

MARRIAGE

George Carson, aged 26 years, single, son of David Ferguson married 6th October 1913 to Irene Emily, aged 28 years, single, daughter of William Morton at St. Bede Church, Semaphore, District Port Adelaide. reference book 257 page 60

Thomas Allison Halliday aged 40 years, single, son of James Halliday married 16th September 1908 to Stella Ferguson, aged 24 years, single, daughter of David Ferguson at St. Bede Church, Semaphore District Port Adelaide reference book 236 page 631

MARRIAGE

John Carson aged 23 years, single, son of David Ferguson married 25th February 1886 to Catherine Jane Walker, aged 21 years, single,daughter of John Walker at residence of Mrs. Walker, Portland estate, District Adelaide reference book 146 page 708

BIRTHS.

I did not have time to look up the children of John Carson Ferguson & Jane Walker, but will do it when I go into the library sometime this week.

I also did not have time to look up children of George Carson Ferguson & Irene Emily Morton

Nor did I find children born to Thomas Allison Halliday and
Stella Ferguson.

I made a quick note in the library last week of the marriages still to be researched.

Ellen Letty Ferguson married a Laurence Stanley

Elsie May Ferguson married a George Williams.

Jessie Isabel married a Lewis steward Taylor.
