I saw your request for information on the Ferguson family when I was browding the Voy Forum Australian Family History Message Board. I was in the S Aus. State library yesterday and had a look for information re the family.

I was running a bit short of time, but I did manage to find the following.

MARRIAGE.

Thomas Allison, aged 40 years, single,s on of James Halliday married 16th September 1908 to Stella Ferguson aged 24 years, single, daughter of David Ferguson at St. Bede Church, Semaphore District Port adelaide. reference book 236 page 631

CHILDREN BORN TO THOMAS ALLISON HALLIDAY & STELLA FERGUSON.

1. Jack Ferguson born 28th February 1910 Port Pirie, District Clare reference book 838 page 334

2. James Keith born 26th August 1917 Crystal Brook, District Clare reference book 5 page 176 symbol "A" denoting (1) The Registrar has made an amendment to information on the birth record and/or The Registrar has included additional information on the birth record.

MARRIAGE

Laurence aged 38 years, single, son of Edmund Stanley married 17th January 1900 to Ellen Letty, aged 22 years, single, daughter of David Ferguson at St. Mary Church, Port adelaide, District Port Adelaide. reference book 202 page 200

CHILDREN BORN TO ALURENCE STANLEY & ELLEN LETTY FERGUSON.

1. female child, name not recorded, born 11th July 1902 at Wandearah West, District Clare. reference book 698 page 119

2. David Michael born 4th November 1901 Wandearah District Clare. reference book 689 page 164

3. Edmund George born 18th September 1900 at Wandearah District Clare. reference book 665 page 175 symbol "X" denoting the Registrar has picked up two different surnames for this person, i.e. Edmund George and Edmond Stanley.

4. Donald Thomas born 23rd October 1908 Hundred of Pirie, District Clare reference book 812 page 238

5. Nellie Margaret born 3rd May 1910 at Hundred of Pirie, District Clare reference book 843 page 206 symbol "S" denoting the Registrar has included supplementary information on the birth record.

6. Walter Leo born 15th January 1907 Hundred of Pirie, District Clare reference book 777 page 350

MARRIAGE.

Lewis Steward aged 22 years, single, son of James Henry Taylor, married 2nd January 1915 to Jessie Isabel aged 35 years, single, daughter of david ferguson at residence of Mrs. Ferguson, Exeter, District Port adelaide. reference book 262 page 13 symbol "S"

CHILDREN BORN TO LEWIS STEWARD TAYLOR & JESSIE ISABEL FERGUSON.

1. George Lewis born 8th August 1919 at Crystal Brook, District Clare reference book 41 page 385 "A"

2. Laurence James born 13th January 1923 at Port Pirie West, District Clare reference book 90 page 247 symbol "A"

3. Lewis Cyril born 3rd March 1916 at Port Pirie South, District Clare reference book 975 page 439

4. Mavis Larwood born 24th February 1917 at Solomontown, District Clare reference book 994 page 537 symbol "C" denoting the Registrar has made a correction to the information on this birth record.

5. Rhoda Joan born 1st March 1924 Red Hill, District Daly reference book 132 page 434 symbol "A"

Symbol "A" denotes (1) The Registrar has made an amendment to the information on the birth record and/or (2) The Registrar has entered additional information on the birth record.

MARRIAGE

George Caston, aged 26 years, single, son of David Ferguson married 6th October 1913 to Irene Emily aged 28 years, single, daughter of William Morton at St. Bede Church, Semaphore. District Port adelaide. refernce book 257 page 60

I searched the birth records, but no child was found having been born to George Carson Ferguson & Irene Emily Morton in South Australia
