i am researching my husbands family who emigrated to austrailia on vessel perterborough his name was joseph hayes and his wife catherine they were supposed to have 6 children with them in 1880.they settled in wagga wagga and he became an alderman and later mayor 1897.1906-7 1908,he was a member ofthe hospital commitee and played cricket for the half holiday club1896-7.he was warden in st marys church in north wagga mrs joseph as she was known was very involved in the church they returned to england in 1908 theire daughter came with them 3 sons stayed in oz
