Sorry Mark, but Smith is a very common name. And both of them having their last name Smith is really hard to find.
I did find a Marriage for a William Smith and Mary Ann Smith in Tasmania in Tasmania on the 1/8/1849 ref no 657. But I couldn't find one in 1875 as you mentioned. What makes you think that they married in 1875, when they had children from 1849 onwards.
