Another Fragoso -- Geneve Fragoso, 15:24:48 03/28/06 Tue
Hi i am Geneve Fragoso from Houston, TX with my frather from south Texas in Brownsvill, his fathers name was Rafael Fragoso who passed away many years ago. After him i do not know much else. I have heard of this name in Puerto Rico they have a street called Fragoso and pharmacies named Fragoso. Perhaps are link is their. If you are a south texas Fragoso please email me, i would like to know my roots.

Hello to all Fragosos all over the world...I'm so glad to know
that I still have relatives but partly sad because until now I
have not seen my father. His name is Joseph Alberto Fragoso, a
US Army. He met my mother in Clark Air Base Pampanga here in Philippines 21 years ago. He was called by th US Pres. during the war in Iraq and decided to left us. It is really painful to my Mom but she trusted him and hoping that he'll be back. He promised to come back after 9 years but sad to imagine he never showed up until now that I'm already 21 working in Nissan Motors as a Marketing Asst. Im hoping that someday if he is still alive I could met him and hug him for I've been longing for his love and affection. I never loose hope for my heart strongly tells me that He still alive. If anyone knows Him I'll be very glad if you will help me. More
Powers to all my relatives and to those who have same experience as me don't loose hope just be strong and keep on fighting for life never ends up there. God has a big plan for us. Love yourself...love God...and love the people who were not tired of loving and supporting you. Still life is worth living...thanks to Him because he gave me the opportunity to live in this woderful world maybe not with a perfect life but... it is undoubtedly worth living.

Hello...all this is really weird because there's fagoso's all over the world but my granfather manino fragoso born in italy and she says his family is all italian and eventually he moved to mexico city beacuse the world war II, but as I read fragoso is a place in portugal but also something about galicians.....to be honest I don't really care about my heritage

I have been wondering all my life about my relatives on my Father's side of my Family. Most of my life it was only me and my brother Thomas who had the name FRAGOSO. There were never any listings in the phone book with our last name or spelling. As I got older I began finding other FRAGOSO's but never followed through in getting together. My Mother and my Father never married and after I was born my Father moved back to Mexico, he wasn't a U.S. Citizen. My Father's name is Ruben Fragoso he was from Tepejanes? He is from the tribe of Tepejuan. The FRAGOSO trait from what my mother has always called me and my brother is "The Fragoso Mouth". Very lucious lips...giggle! My Father went back to Mexicali where he had a ranch and married and had other children. I only remeber my Father vaguely because I was a baby when he left and I was only 2 or 3 when he came back for a visit. I am now 58 years old and I am amazed at all the FRAGOSO's and I am so HAPPY to know that it isn't just me and my brother anymore. I am so happy and proud to be part of this wonderful name and all of the FRAGOSO's everywhere. GOD BLESS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I am a fragoso who comes from Cuba, I know some of my ancestor came from Spain. My Question to all Fragoso is as follows. Is there a physcial family trait that you know of (it mostly is with the male of the family and in the head area)? And what does it look like? e-mail me at papichuletta@yahoo.com The reason I ask this I met a lady who is married to a Fragoso (from Spain) and she ask me the same question. I gave her the reply she was looking for, and then she told me I must meet her husband. When I meeted him, he was a 30years younger version of my father they could pass for father and son since they share that trait.

My grandfather was Luciano Fragoso and my father was Lucio Fragoso. My father was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I know that my family came from Portugal and went to São Luis , Maranhão, Brasil too. It´s all.

I'm so glad to find that we are a lot of Fragosos around the world, my grandfather was born in Mexico city and he is my mother's father, as far as I know he had a lot of other kids with other women so apparentley there are a lot of cousins that I do not know

My name is Jacob Fragoso and I was born in Guzman Y Hernandez (La Noria) Durango Mexico. I would like to know if anyone knows the orign of the Fragoso name in Mexico, Durango area. I am aware of related families in Carrrera only. I have talked to Fragoso's from Mexico City and Portugal. Where else are WE.

Hi, my family name came from my grand-father.
But i have nerver met him.
He married, my grand-ma when he was in portugal, he had a son, my dad, (Rui jose Alfredo Fragoso).
I know they lived also in south africa.
Then he left my grand-ma and moved to Brasil.
That's all i know from him.

I don't talk to my dad, anymore, and my grand -ma doesn't like to talk about it. So i don't ask.

If you know something about my grand-dad please say something.

amazing! all my life i've never met any other fragosos that i wasnt closely related to, so finding this site was great. let me tell you about my branch of fragosos. my grandfather came over from mexico to the us in the late 20's or early 30's. I'm not sure what part.His name was Genaro fragoso and I believe he lived in Whittier california. He later moved to delano, had a crapload of kids and eventually passed away there in 96. He is the originator of our branch of the fragosos here in california. As for the rest of us, well , we are known for or stubborness, toughness, decisive action in crisis, and a little bit of showoffs and playboys. Or so I tell myself. I'd love to here from any other fragoso's out there so email me at jfragoso30@yahoo.com. As for me I couldn't be prouder to be a Fragoso, I was always taught that we are something special and carrying this name is an honor.

Greetings everyone :). I've curiously decided to google my last name in search for some type of family history. I come from a very large family who's roots as far as I know (Great Grand parents)comes from Portugal. As I searched on page by I was astonished to find so many Fragoso's out their in the world. Amazingly we are so spread out ranging from Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, England, Africa, and USA(where I'm from).

Lil info before I hit the enter button. I'm from Yonkers NY, son of Ernest Fragoso, Grandson to Jose Fragoso. If needed I can surely ask my grandfather who is 84 yrs old for the names of the Fragoso men a few generations ago. I'll check back ever so often. Heck perhaps when I have sometime I'd also like to research my family tree.

I never knew there were so many Fragoso's! My whole life I've only met 1 other person with the last name Fragoso and recently just discovered two others, although I haven't meet them. Then all of a sudden I find this website and discover there are probably hundreds of other people with the same last name. I have a big family. So much that can't remember them all. Discovering this site is making me wonder if I have other family member out there that even my parents don't know about.

A web based genealogy service did a Social Security Number search for me on the Trefflich name. They came up with EMMY TREFFLICh born 1904, died 1993. The last residence is listed as CT. The number was issued sometime before 1951.

Any idea if/how this individual fits into our family? It does not specify if Trefflich was her married name or her maiden name. I think most of those in the northeast in the northeast are part of us.
