I have always preferred a later start and ending date for deer hunting seasons in the southern portion of the Central Zone.

In the Reedy Creek and Green Swamp areas the rut doesn't even get started well until January. To end the deer hunting season in early January (as is being proposed) would be to completely miss out on the peak of the rut there.
