Walter walked down the hallways of the hospital, holding onto the notebook that he was making his notes on this case. He wasnt working anything else but on the murder of the smuggled women. He knew that already the media has lost interest in it and that the chief had him working on it because Walter wouldnt give up now that the notoriety of the case was already out of the medias eye. That wasnt the way that Walter handled things.

This was a sketchy lead. He wasnt sure that it was anything at all. A nurse at the hospital had called in to the tip line that she felt that there was a woman that had some sort of memory lose that probably had something to do with the smuggled women. Other than the fact that the woman looked like she was of Asian decent, as were the other women that were murdered, there didnt seem much to hold this nurses worries as being plausible.

However, Walter was not going to let any possible lead not go investigated. He was still waiting for the crime lab to come back from the materials that were gathered at the scene and he continued to be told that the lab was backed up. There was nothing at the moment that he could do other than eliminate leads that werent really leads. Walter had already finished one this morning that was related to a bad relationship breakup.

Finding the room, Walter knocked and then poked his head into the room. Hello My name is Walter.

The woman smiled at him and nodded her head up and down. He had asked the nurse to inform her that he was going to be by and what his name was. But Walter wasnt sure what type of memory deficits that the woman was suffering from. She had a broken hip but appeared to be fine otherwise.

My name is Fusayo, the woman replied with a gentle voice and slight accent. She then stopped and looked at Walter confused. I dont remember my last name.

Thats ok, Walter declared as he pulled a chair over towards the bed. A nurse said that you had some problems with your memory.

I remember that my name means whole generation they gave me a test and I know lots of things, Fusayo commented as she looked sadly at Walter. But I dont remember people.

Walter swallowed and nodded his head. That must be rough.

It was not a good feeling to know what Walter had to get into, especially since it was possible that this woman wasnt part of what had happened to those other women. But he knew that he had to move forward. Did your nurse tell you why she called me?

I saw it on the news, Fusayo rasped as she shook her head back and forth. So sad.

But you dont remember any of those women? Walter inquired and Fusayo shook her head back and forth. I dont remember being here in the States. And people are just faceless in my memories. And they have no names.

Walter felt a tingle of worry about what Fusayo was saying. The way that she was describing things were worrisome and did not sound like amnesia. It was almost too specific. Walter pushed those thoughts away and sighed. So you remember being

Fusayo thought and thought and then shook her head back and forth. Nothing specific I dont know places either.

She didnt know where she was from and Walter pulled out a device that Birkoff had given him a while ago. Has anyone fingerprinted you?

Fusayo shook her head back and forth. Walter took her hand gently and placed it on the device as it started to scan her fingers instantly. There are lots of records there that we have access to in the world. Hopefully we can get some answers for you Fusayo.

I always wanted to come here, Fusayo declared and Walter nodded his head. Thats not uncommon. Do you remember how you got hurt?

They said that I was found outside on a back alley somewhere they thought I had been outside for days, Fusayo commented and Walter shivered. At first he thought that it wasnt possible for Fusayo to be tied to what happened because she just got to medical care, but now this information was changing the time frames. Do you remember any other police officers visiting you?

She shook her head back and forth. They said they talked to the doctor.

Walter took some notes and Fusayo took Walters hand as he was about to depart. I know that I like puppies. I know that understand politics and science give me questions that dont reference people and I know it I know that this isnt like amnesia and I feel it.

Swallowing against the lump that was in his throat, Walter had to face what his mind and body had been hinting at, and he didnt like it. He turned towards her and patted her hand. I have some resources that may be able to help. Do you mind if some others come and visit you? They wont be from the police department.

If it helps me know who I really am to give me my full name I want that, Fusayo declared and Walter nodded his head. Ill make some calls and Ill have your nurses let you know if someone is coming to visit.

Thank you, Fusayo rasped as she smiled while crying. Walter calmed her for a few more minutes and promised to return himself before leaving the room.

He didnt know if this was connected to his case, but he knew that there was something more going on here that needed to be investigated, but not by the police. Until Walter had proof that something really bad had happened to Fusayo beyond a head injury, Walter wasnt going to say anything.

He was too afraid to make the call in the hospital. People could overhear and Walter did not want to chance that. He arrived at his car and pulled out his cell phone and dialed quickly.

Walter? Adrian answered with barely one ring even being completed.

Are you busy? Walter looked towards the hospital, feeling guilty that he left so quickly. He looked at the clock and knew that he was due at Nikitas house to pick things up with some more of Michaels and Nikitas friends to help move them to the condo in an hour. He could have spent more time with the young girl.

I was going to go assist

I have something more important, Walter interrupted Adrian as he couldnt wait to tell her. I think there is a girl in the hospital that has been brainwashed.

Walter, thats a very serious thought. Perhaps you have been too close to what is going on and you have been focused on what that means that you are projecting onto this girl, Adrian warned and Walter turned his car on as he shook his head from side to side. Instinct was telling him that he wasnt doing that.

Adrian she remembers her first name but doesnt remember her last name. She has passed many high level tests she remembers things and doing things, but every person in her memory has a blank face and places are there but dont have names like they are generic Does that sound like amnesia? Walter outlined with an intense voice as he sucked in air afterwards as he was getting upset. He is doing this

You dont know exactly what is going on, Adrians voice was strong and to the point. However, I would like to meet this girl.

Walter knew that this was all that he needed to hear. Fusayo had been brainwashed and Walter was furious.

Dont go running off on this, Walter, Adrian knowingly warned as she could tell that Walter was upset. There is a chance that this is amnesia or she is very good at pulling the wool over your eyes.

She isnt faking this, Walter announced as he leaned his head back and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes and then started to drive his car out of the parking garage. Thank you Adrian.

While driving out of the garage and on the way towards the house that Nikita refused to go inside, Walter gave Adrian the details about Fusayo and information about the hospital. Walter then called Birkoff and asked him to look at his computer files for what he had just scanned. Birkoff knew to get on it quickly and took himself away from setting up internet and security systems at Michaels and Nikitas new condo to access the file and start the search.

It was a long shot that Fusayo had fingerprints anywhere on the system in the world. If she was smuggled into the United States, she wouldnt be anywhere. Walter hoped that they found her prints and found that she was here in the United States for a reason. He did not want these two cases merging together.

But Walters core told him that this was just starting.
